This course looks at the origin of conflict within our lives, how we have dealt with conflict in the past, our conditioned response and the behavioural options available for us from which we can choose
- Identify the causes and effects of conflict
- Demonstrate effective conflict handling situations within a role play
- Write a report on the conflict situation and the outcome after the discussion
- Allow group to assess styles and discuss each person’s style and how this will
- Have an impact on their team
- Conflict situations between team’s member / management
- Define the four leadership styles
- Identify the participants preferred style
- State the factors to consider when choosing a leadership style
- Define the 4 developmental levels
- Assess the correct style to the development of the individual
- Analyse personal strengths and weaknesses of each individuals
- Define actions that will help to balance the over-use of a certain style
Learning outcome
Delegates will examine where their current response to conflict originates from. Analyse their reactions, decide if their response is the most effective and look at behavioural verbal and non-verbal communication they can choose to influence their response.
Assertive behaviour is analysed and practised in role-plays using the video for feedback to demonstrate that the feelings inside do not reflect the perception that others may have of us.
Role-playing and observation is part of the course.
